How it works
You enter your word or figurative mark. We compare it live against the Swiss register and show similar marks already on file.
You describe what you use the mark for. We derive the appropriate goods and services classes – including optional classes that may make sense depending on your business model.
Omnilex AG attorneys review your filing for registrability, classification and collision risks.
We file the application with the IPI. In the Trademark Hub you track the status and never miss a renewal deadline.

How long does trademark registration take in Switzerland?+
After filing, the IPI examines the application. Without objections, registration typically takes a few weeks to months. You can track the status in the Trademark Hub at any time.
Which costs come on top of the flat fee?+
The IPI charges an official filing fee (from CHF 350 for up to three classes, CHF 100 per additional class). These fees go directly to the IPI and are disclosed transparently.
What happens after I instruct you?+
Omnilex AG attorneys review your details, contact you with any questions and then file the application with the IPI. You receive a confirmation with all details.
What if someone opposes my trademark?+
After publication, a three-month opposition period runs. If an opposition is filed, we inform you and advise you on the next steps.
Can I also protect my trademark abroad?+
Yes. Based on the Swiss filing, an international registration (WIPO) is possible. Get in touch – we advise you on the right strategy.
Where does the register data come from?+
Directly from the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) via the official data delivery API (Swissreg). The data is therefore always current.
